1/2 tsp. of spices you tolerate (e.g. cardamom, cinnamon)
1/2 tsp. vanilla sugar
200g spelt flour
100ml milk (or plant based milk, but no soy milk)
1/4 tsp. baking powder
fruits (e.g. blueberries or apple slices), powdered sugar or ice cream (e.g. vanilla or stracciatella if you can tolerate it) as topping.
Melt butter (don’t cook it) in a pan. Whisk egg(yolk)s and sugar in a bowl. Fold in the butter, flour, baking powder, spices and vanilla sugar with the egg-sugar-cream. Add milk while stirring carefully.
Warm up the waffle iron, grease the waffle iron. One ladleful of dough will make one waffle. Bake the waffle until it has a golden yellow appearance (about 2-3 minutes, time can vary depending on your waffle iron).
Now choose a topping you like, e.g. blueberries, yoghurt, powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, etc. and enjoy!
